Hi Reader!
Do you have Spotify Premium AND actually use the audiobook feature? If not, keep reading!
During a client session last week, it came up that they were downgrading their Spotify Premium plan because they didn't listen to any audiobooks through the platform. It got me thinking that I use Spotify for mostly music and podcasts. I've actually only listened to 1.5 audiobooks since they launched the feature! π€£
So I checked it out for myself last night and was able to downgrade my plan as well!
I'm on a premium individual plan and the basic one is $1/month less, which doesn't seem like a lot but that's $1/month + tax. For a year, that's a savings of $12.72! (They are on a family plan and I think the savings per month is slightly higher.)
Will this make me a millionaire? Unfortunately, probably not!
Will it be an extra $12.72 a year that I can put towards something else? You bet!! Why pay for something I don't use when there is a less expensive option?
Plus, if I do want to listen to an audiobook, there is a free app connected to my public library account (yours might have one too!) so I can borrow audiobooks through that instead.
Your plan can only be edited on the web version of Spotify, unfortunately, but once you are on a computer, click here to go to your Spotify account and check it out for yourself! Once you are logged in, click on the circle profile icon in the top right corner and head to Account and then Available Plans (under Subscription). You should then see an option for a basic plan!
